Common Types of Ozone Concentration Detectors and Their Application Characteristics

Ozone Concentration Detector Classification
1. Fixed:
The system consists of a gas detection and alarm controller and fixed ozone detectors. The gas detection and alarm controller is located in the duty room, where it monitors various monitoring points. The ozone detectors are installed in areas prone to gas leaks; the core component is the gas sensor. Fixed ozone detection and alarm systems are widely used in environments such as petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, power generation, coal mines, and water treatment plants, effectively preventing explosion accidents.
2. Portable:
The ozone analyzer is designed to safeguard human life and safety. It’s compact and lightweight, easily fitting into belt loops, shirt pockets, or hard hats. It can accurately detect the concentration of ozone gas when exposed to harsh environmental conditions. If the gas concentration in the air exceeds safe levels, the ozone analyzer promptly emits a triple alarm signal through audible vibrations, effectively preventing poisoning incidents caused by excessively high ozone concentrations in the air.
3. Pump suction:
The pump-suction ozone concentration detector uses a built-in oil-pumping mechanism to quickly measure the ozone concentration in the working environment. Equipped with an electrochemical sensor, a large, highly visible LCD display, and audible and visual alarms, this device can detect hazardous gases even in extremely challenging working conditions, providing operators with timely warnings and enabling them to take preventive measures.
Several essential features of ozone concentration detectors that cannot be overlooked:
First, we must ensure the stability of the ozone detector.
Stability is the first issue we need to consider. The smaller the zero offset and the total offset, the better.
Second: The ozone detector should be convenient.
On the premise of stability, convenience is also an important factor to consider—lightweight, compact in size, comfortable and easy to wear, and easy to maintain.
III: Applicability of Ozone Detectors
Technicians will identify and evaluate hazardous gases in specific workplace spaces to determine whether the sensors of the selected detectors meet the required specifications.
Four: The ozone detector must be reliable.
The longer the sensor's lifespan, the better. Generally, a sensor’s lifespan should be at least 2 years; for combustible gas sensors, it should be between 2 and 5 years. The longer the mean time between failures, the better. As for accuracy and precision, the lower the error value, the better.
5: Understand the ozone detector protection requirements.
Does the explosion-proof safety rating apply to the workshop? Has product safety been certified? Is there an explosion-proof certification or metrological certification?
Six: The ozone detector should be easy to identify.
Is the display area large enough? Are the fonts clear? Is the alarm sound loud enough? Can the warning lights be recognized from different angles?
