Ozone use---water treatment

At present, in the world, ozone disinfection has been widely used for purified water and natural water (made from mountain spring water, mineral water, groundwater, etc. through filtration and other processes). In the application of ozone purification in tap water, the international standard is 0.4mg/L of tolerance for 4 minutes, that is, the CT value is 1.6. The table below is a reference value.

Ⅱ、Standards and Specifications for Ozone Space Disinfection

1 Food Workshop

The ozone concentration requirements in food processing workshops are relatively low, generally reaching 2.5ppm. For different food storage rooms, different ozone concentrations should be designed according to the stored substances. The ozone dosing method generally adopts the pipe type, and the open type can be used for small workshops.

2 Pharmaceutical Factory

2.1 Calculation method

According to the "Technical Specification for Disinfection" and practical application experience,

C = 2.5ppm = 5mg/m3 for 300,000 purification grades;

Take C = 5ppm = 10mg/m3 for 100,000 purification grades；

Take C = 15ppm = 30mg/m3 for the 10,000 purification level;

Take C = 20ppm = 40mg/m3 for 100 grades.

Calculation method: When the HVAC system is used for centralized dosing, the ozone generator is selected and calculated according to the following method: First, the actual ozone disinfection volume is calculated. The actual volume consists of three parts: V = V1 + V2 + V3, V1 clean area space volume, V2 air purification The volume of the system, the volume of air lost during V3 circulation, in the actual calculation process, V3 is equal to 1.2% of the total air volume of the circulation system.

(1) W = C×v/d w: The actual output of the ozone generator, the unit is g/h. c: ozone dosage per unit volume. V: Actual ozone disinfection volume. d: ozone decay coefficient 0.42.

(2) If the designed ozone concentration is 5ppm according to the planktonic bacteria in the space, the disinfection volume is 10000m3, and the air supply flow rate is 100000m3/h

V1=10000 m3 

V2 = can be ignored

V3 = 100000×1.2% = 1200 

Actual ozone disinfection volume V = V1 + V2 + V3 =11200m3 

Ozone dosage W = C×V/d = 5×2×11200/0.4208 = 266.159g/h 

The recommended output of the ozone generator is 280g/h.

2.2 Built-in schematic diagram

The main engine is generally installed in the rear section of the medium-efficiency filter or the front section of the high-efficiency filter
